Nothing beats a delicious breakfast smoothie to kick start the day!
I find that sometimes when I wake up, I don’t always feel like a big breakfast, and that’s ok! However, skipping breakfast is a no go! Without breakfast, you aren’t actually “breaking – the – fast” from all the hours spent sleeping the night before, and this is actually know to start a bad chain of reactions throughout the body.
One of the main reasons people don’t eat breakfast is simply down to not feeling hungry when they wake up. With peoples busy lives, all you want in the morning when you’re rushing round is a quick cup of coffee/tea and to be on your way, and by the time you realise you are hungry its too late!
So if you can relate to this, having a smoothie in the morning is a quick and on-the-go way to get those calories in in the morning. You can even make it the night before to save time.
This was my delicious smoothie, and go to breakfast smoothie today!
- 1 banana
- 2 handfuls of blueberries
- 1/2 a palm of almond flakes
- 1 tablespoon of desecrated coconut
- 1 teaspoon of chia seeds
- 150 – 200ml almond milk. You can use normal milk if you wish, I just personally prefer the taste of almond milk.
- A sprinkle of cinnamon (add more if you wish!)
If you wish to add some more carbohydrates to your smoothie, simply add 25-30g oats!
